Needs another memorial beside it to acknowledge the illegal conquest and confiscation (Raupatu) of 1.2 million acres of Walkato land from Kingitanga by imperial and Colonial troops, which rather than bringing peace brought intergenerational trauma for Waikato TAINUI iwi and other North Island iwi.
