Hoani Waititi teaching te reo Māori, possibly at Queen Victoria School for Māori Girls, Auckland. During the 1950s and 1960s he developed important new techniques for teaching te reo Māori. He was the author of Te Rangatahi, the standard teaching guide for te reo for decades.
