Tūhoto (Moengarangātira) signed the Cook Strait (Henry Williams) sheet of the Treaty of Waitangi on 29 April 1840 at Port Nicholson (Wellington). He belonged to the Ngāti Tāwhirikura hapū of Te Āti Awa.
