What do you know?
I am a descendant of John and Jessie (Wylie) Laird. They were my great grand parents. Myself, my wife and our youngest daughter recently travelled from NZ to the island of Burray, in the Orkney Isles to visit their land of origin, and to trace out their beginnings. On a more recent trip to Mosgiel, Dunedin we went grave hunting and we found their grave site in the old Taieri East Cemetery. A moment in time to reflect on them and their journey.
