Residential suburb of Dunedin on the northern shoreline of the Otago Harbour, 3km north-east of the city centre.
Meaning of place name
After the Ravensbourne River that flows through Lewisham in London. The river happened to be mentioned by James Fulton of Outram to his friend Thomas de Lacey, the earliest settler in West Harbour. De Lacey was so taken by the name that he applied it to the area in which he lived.
