British General Electric Company's illuminations catalogue

Click on image above to view the pages of a catalogue sent to the Wellington City Council by the British General Electric Company in March 1919. It advertises the merchandise they can provide for peace illuminations, including flags and coats of arms. A covering letter notes, helpfully, that they can supply the New Zealand ensign in place of the Australian one advertised.

As a result of the coal shortage Wellington did not have illuminations, but some of the many towns and cities which did may have ordered material from this supplier.
