Douglas rolls of honour Douglas rolls of honour

The Douglas District First World War and Second World War rolls of honour are displayed in the Douglas community hall. The two wooden tablets are similar in style and appear to have been erected at the same time. The First World War roll of honour lists the names of eight local men who gave their lives; the Second World War roll lists the names of 20 men who served in the war, four of whom died, three were wounded and one was taken prisoner of war. One nurse is also listed, Sister Florence Rumball.
