Gold claim near Waiuta

Harry Gardner named his alluvial gold claim the ‘Sons of Freedom’, but enlisted two of his daughters to help work it. Present this day were (from left): Maud and Nellie Gardner, Eric Bradley, Madge Armstrong, Harry Gardner, Joseph Divis, and Doug and Len Armstrong.
