Orere war memorial hall

Memorial Memorial

The Orere War Memorial Hall was dedicated on 8 December 1956. It had been built by local volunteers on land donated by Mr Anthony Rowlands. The brass plaque at the entrance reads: “This hall was erected in / 1956 / In honour of those / from the / Orere District / who gave their services / in World Wars I & II’.

In 1965 Manukau City Council took over ownership of the hall. The building was extended in 1986.
