The Patutahi School roll of honour was unveiled on 6 December 1917. It listed the names of three local men who had served in the South African War and of 76 men who had so far left New Zealand for active service in the First World War. Another 17 names had been added by the end of the war.

The roll of honour is today housed in the Patutahi community hall. Three photo boards which hang alongside it together display photographs of 35 men and one woman from the area who served in the Second World War.
