Mary Andrew (1852-1917), nee Hamilton, was born in Calder, Lanarkshire, Scotland, the daughter of James Hamilton, a furnace keeper at the local ironworks, and Charlotte Hall.
She married Archibald Andrew in 1874. They came to Otago as assisted migrants about 1878 and settled in Outram, North Taieri where they ran a baker’s shop.
After retirement, Mary and Archibald moved to Wingatui, where she died in 1917.
Mary and Archibald are buried at East Taieri Cemetery, Mosgiel.
