Kate/Katherine Grace Margaret Jane Muir was born in 1867 in New Zealand - the daughter of Hugh Muir, a baker, and Janet Mitchell/Mitchellson. Kate’s sisters, Agnes Phinn and Mary Aitchison, and their mother Janet, all signed the same petition sheet.
On 3 October 1901 Kate married Frank Lambeth, a printer, at her mother’s house in George St, Dunedin. They had two daughters together, one of whom died at the age of 12.
Kate died at her home in Dunedin on 14 May 1941, and she is buried in the Andersons Bay Cemetery with her daughter.
Frank died in Auckland in 1957. He was cremated.
