Euphemia Henderson Wilson was born about 1831 in Glasgow, Scotland.
She emigrated to New Zealand and, on 28 June 1864 in Dunedin, she married Robert Nimmo, a seed merchant.
They had six children and lived in Central Dunedin until Robert died in 1891 at their home in Walker Street.
Her son James appears to have stayed in the family home after this, as when Euphemia signed the suffrage petition she was living in Carisbrook with her daughters.
Euphemia died at Walker St on 1 July 1908 and is buried with Robert in the Southern Cemetery.
