Board game based on the first Antarctic expedition (BAE1) of Admiral Byrd, consists of a map which follows Byrd on his trail by air, sea and land from Dunedin, New Zealand, to the South Pole avoiding the perils of icebergs, crevasses and blizzards along the route.
Byrd used Dunedin as his New Zealand base during his first Antarctic expedition (BAE1) from 1928-1930. A memorial to Byrd, unveiled on 31 October 1967, stands overlooking the port of Dunedin in Unity Park, Mornington.
