Pixie Laing Great War Story

The video for this story about Pixie Laing screened on Newshub on 20 April 2018.

Pixie Laing was a dancer who took up driving ambulances in London near the end of the war.

Her story was found in the Bell Company trunk by Judy Siers, archive manager of the Onslow Historical Society and Jane Tolerton, writer of Make Her Praises Heard Afar.

Pixie married Captain Norman Bell and they set up the Bell Bus Company in Ngaio and Khandallah in Wellington.
