Agnes Dippie was born in New Zealand in 1872 – the daughter of Alexander Dippie, a carpenter, and Jane Ross. (See 56 Mrs Dippie)

When she signed the suffrage petition Agnes was living with her family in George St, Dunedin working as a dressmaker.

She married Leonard Sanderson, a stationer and widower in 1931.

Leonard died in 1948 and Agnes died on 26 April 1955. She is buried with Leonard in the family grave in the Northern Cemetery.
