Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley
Agnes Jamieson was born about 1813 in the Shetland Islands.
When she signed the suffrage petition Agnes was living at Port Molyneux.
On 3 February 1899 her neighbour Catherine Wright (See 128 Catherine Wright) brought her some groceries but when another neighbour brought more food a few days later Agnes was missing.
She had recently 'seemed to wander in her mind at times.'
Her body was found a few days later – she had apparently been gathering wood. An inquest found her death to be due to exposure.
Agnes is buried in the Port Molyneux Cemetery.
