Alice married John Samson Fleming, a cheesemaker, in 1892 at the Salvation Army Fortress in Dunedin.

They had three children and when Alice signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Grange St, Dunedin.

Alice died in the Dunedin Hospital on 14 March 1920 and John died in 1925, they are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
