Ann Williamson Pitcairn was born about 1846 in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland – the daughter of John Pitcairn, a mill tenter, and Ann Williamson.
She emigrated to Otago in 1879 on the Nelson accompanied by her sister Eliza.
When Ann signed the suffrage petition she was living with or near her sister Jane (See 30 Mrs T Campbell ) in Burnside near Dunedin.
She married James Edward Strack, a railway ganger, in 1894.
They lived at Studholme Junction, near Waimate, for a time before retiring to Dunedin.
Ann died at their home on 7 August 1942, she is buried in the Green Island Cemetery.
James died in 1960, he is buried in the East Taieri Cemetery.
