Annie Barbara Inglis was born about 1859 in Australia - the daughter of Robert Inglis, a farmer, and Ann.

When she signed the suffrage petition Annie was living at the family farm at Highcliff on the Otago Peninsula.

She did not marry and she died at her sister’s home in Andersons Bay, Dunedin on 7 October 1926.

She is buried in the family grave in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
