Annie Louisa Blackie was born in 1869 in New Zealand, the daughter of David Blackie, a carpenter, and Agnes Grey. (See 61 Agnes Blackie).

When Annie signed the suffrage petition, she was living with her family in Ravensbourne near Dunedin.

She did not marry and she died on 15 November 1952. Annie is buried with her parents in the Northern Cemetery.
