Annie Tennick Blackwood was born in New Zealand in 1861 – the daughter of William Blackwood, a miner, and Martha McIndoe. (See 51 Martha Blackwood)

Annie did not marry, when she signed the suffrage petition she was living in Caversham with her parents.

She died in the Dunedin Hospital on 18 August 1902 and is buried in the family grave in the Southern Cemetery.
