Annie Jane Davidson was born in 1868 in New Zealand – the only child of Alexander Davidson, a storekeeper, and Jessie Davidson. (See 55 Jessie Davidson)

When she signed the suffrage petition Annie was living with her parents in Brown St, Dunedin.

She married Rev James Swanson Reid in on 21 December 1893 at First Church, Dunedin.

They had four children and lived in Middlemarch and Waitahuna before moving to Dunsandel in Canterbury where they celebrated their Silver Wedding anniversary.

James died in 1942 and Annie died on 21 December 1946. She is buried in the Bromley Cemetery.
