Christina Boyd was born about 1853 in Rosshire, Scotland.
She emigrated to New Zealand around 1860 and she married Archibald Boyd, a shipwright, on 17 April 1882 in Dunedin.
They had two children and when Christina signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Forth St, Dunedin.
Archibald died in 1923 and Christina died at her daughter’s home on 25 April 1926 – they are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
