Christian Campbell Macmillan was born in London in 1853 – the daughter of Thomas MacMillan, a stockbroker’s clerk, and Elizabeth Fletcher Bathgate.
She came to New Zealand where she married Dr Daniel Colqhoun in 1886 in Dunedin.
When Christina signed the suffrage petition she was living in High Street, Dunedin.
In 1911 they visited England and the Continent planning to “be in London for the Coronation” then returning home at the beginning of the next year.
They later moved permanently to London – Christina died on 22 May 1929 at Bordighera, Italian Riviera – her burial place is unknown.
Daniel died in Dunedin in 1935 while visiting New Zealand – he was cremated and his ashes were scattered.
