Eliza Robb Allan was born in 1878 in New Zealand – the daughter of John Allan, a draper, and Janet Morrison.

Eliza did not marry and when she signed the suffrage petition she was living in Castle St, Dunedin, working as a ladies nurse.

Eliza died on 7 April 1947 and is buried in the family grave in the Northern Cemetery.
