Elizabeth Grant was born about 1845 - she married Donald Bremner on 16 December 1874 in Dunedin.

They had six children before Donald died in 1885 when their youngest child was three-years-old.

When Elizabeth signed the suffrage petition she was living in Edwin St, Caversham.

Later that year her 15-year-old son Alexander died at the Dunedin Hospital, he is buried with his father in the Southern Cemetery.

Elizabeth died on 21 March 1929 in Wellington, she is buried in the Karori Cemetery.
