Eurydice Eden was born in Antrim, Northern Ireland in 1852. She married George Lancaster in Lyttelton in 1875 and they had four children, Eurydice, Charles, Maude, and William. They lived at Dampier’s Bay, near Lyttelton. George was a labourer and Eurydice was a housewife. She died in 1911, aged 59.
