Florence Springer was born in 1869 in London – the daughter of George Springer, a joiner, and Elizabeth Williams. (See 155 Mrs G Springer)
Florence emigrated to Otago in 1875 on the Gareloch with her family and they settled in Dunedin.
When she signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in Ascotvale, North East Valley.
Florence died on 14 September 1946 in Dunedin – she was cremated and her ashes were interred in the family grave in the Northern Cemetery.
