Georgiana Wordsworth was married to Charles Frederick Wordsworth and they were living in Manaia when she signed the 1893 Women’s Suffrage Petition.

She was born in England, and emigrated to new Zealand c.1878.

Charles and Georgiana had six children. They include Winifred Mary born 1877,

Eleanor Gifford born 1880, Olive Frances born 1882, Gerald Hepburn born 1890 and Mary Zoe, birth date unknown.

On 29 November 1896 her husband and two of their daughters were among a party of eight sailing off the Manaia coast when their boat capsized and he was drowned trying to save the life of another passenger. He was 44 years old. By 1914 Georgiana had settled in Devonport close to her son Gerald and daughter Mary.

She died on 19 July 1927 at the age of 71, and was interred at Hillsborough Cemetery, Auckland.
