Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Jane Wilson Russell married James Dring Charles Armishaw in 1891 and they had four children, two who died in infancy.

When she signed the suffrage petition Jane was living with her family in Brook St, Dunedin near James’ family.

Jane and James appear to have separated as, in 1896, Jane is living in Riverton, Southland and one of their sons is living with James’ brother and family.

James died in Auckland in 1917 and is buried in the Waikumete Cemetery.

Jane disappears from the records after 1896.
