Jemima Reid Nicoll, known as Mysie, was born on 12 November 1873 in Arbroath, Angus, Scotland – the daughter of David Nicoll, a canvas lapper, and Betsy Black. (See 31 B Nicoll)
She emigrated to Otago with her family in 1875 on the Nelson and they settled in Dunedin.
When Jemima signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in King St.
Jemima married Alexander Coulter McLelland, a miner, on 3 September 1919 at the South Dunedin Presbyterian Church.
They lived in Kaitangata then in Oamaru where Jemima died on 3 May 1952. She was cremated and her ashes were scattered.
Alexander died in 1953, his place of burial is unknown.
