Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Julia Elliott was living with her brother Francis, a fruiterer, and his wife Amelia in Princes St, Dunedin when she signed the suffrage petition.

She gave her occupation as 'Lady'.

In 1894 Frances applied 'to have a prohibition order against his sister...forbidding all licenced persons in the City of Dunedin from supplying her with liquor for the space of one year' - the order was granted.

In 1896 Julia was convicted with drunkenness and discharged. After this she disappears from the records.
