Louisa Victoria Stuart was born about 1839 in County Antrim, Ireland, the daughter of Hugh Lindsey Stuart.
She married John Robinson on 16 June 1863 in Belfast, County Down. They had five children in Ireland before they came to New Zealand about 1883.
The family settled in Dunedin. When Louisa signed the suffrage petition, the family were living in Castle St.
John died in 1910 and Louisa died on 20 April 1916. They are buried together in the Northern Cemetery, Dunedin.
