Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley
Lucinda was born about 1834 in Ireland – she was married to William Breen, probably in Ireland.
The couple travelled to Victoria, Australia in the early 1850s and had two daughters.
In 1862 the family travelled to Otago on the Santiago and settled in Dunedin. They had, at least, a further six children and when Lucinda signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Castle St.
They later moved to Grange St where Lucinda died on 8 September 1913 and William died in 1917, they are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
