Martha Barron was born in 1870 in Dunedin – the daughter of John Barron, a grocer, and Martha Patrick. (See 146 Mrs Barron)

When Martha signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in Rockyside, Caversham.

Martha did not marry – she died on 27 June 1944 and is buried in the family grave in the Southern Cemetery.
