Marie Constance Carew was born about 1851 in Ireland. In 1889 she married Alexander Baird, they lived in Balclutha in South Otago.
Alexander died in Dunedin in 1915 and Marie died on 2 March 1916. They are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
