Mary Latham was born about 1864 in Killenaule, County Tipperary, Ireland, she emigrated to New Zealand and married Robert Caddle Hogg, a grocer, in 1885.
They had four children and when Mary signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Pine Hill Terrace, North East Valley, Dunedin.
Robert died in 1933 and Mary died on 28 August 1942, they are buried in the family grave in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
