Mary Kate Eliott was born in 1856 in New Zealand – the daughter of George Eliot Eliott and Catherine Lavinia Morne.
She married clerk Alan Mozeen Dicker in Victoria, Australia in 1878 and they had a son the following year.
When Mary signed the suffrage petition they had moved back to New Zealand and were living in Eden Street, Dunedin.
They moved to Waitati, north of Dunedin, shortly after where their daughter Kathleen was born in 1894.
Alan died in the Dunedin Hospital in 1895 – he is buried in the Northern Cemetery.
Mary moved to England in 1920 – she died on 14 October 1944 in Llanrhos, Denbighshire, Wales.
