Margaret Donaldson Wylie was born in 1869 in South Otago – the daughter of John Liddell Wylie, a carpenter, and Janet Mitchell. (See 128 Janet Wylie)

When Margaret signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family at 'Comely Bank' in Port Molyneux.

She married Charles Verney Dixon, a storeman, in 1896 - they had one son and lived in Wellington.

Charles died in Wellington in 1935, he is buried in the Karori Cemetery.

Margaret died in Dunedin Hospital on 19 May 1948, she was cremated in Dunedin and her ashes interred with Charles in the Karori Cemetery, Wellington.
