Margaret Selina Miller Inglis was born in 1868 in New Zealand – the daughter of Robert Inglis, a farmer, and Ann.
When she signed the suffrage petition she was living at the family farm at Highcliff on the Otago Peninsula.
Margaret married George Duke on 27 June 1917 at St Mary’s Presbytery, Manchester St, Christchurch.
George died at Highcliff in 1925 and Margaret died on 25 July 1949, she is buried in the family grave in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
