Marion Angus was born about 1808 in Lanarkshire, Scotland.
She married Jeremiah Borrows, a baker, on 25 June 1830 in Glasgow and they had five children.
The family emigrated to Otago in the early 1860s and settled in Dunedin.
Jeremiah died in 1885 and when Marion signed the suffrage petition she was living in Moray Place either with or near to her son Jeremiah and his wife Margaret. (See 167 Margaret Borrows) Marion died at her home on 20 July 1896, she is buried with Jeremiah in the family grave in the Northern Cemetery.
