Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Mary Elizabeth was born about 1863 & was married to George Facey, a sailmaker.

They are possibly the couple who arrived in Otago from Melbourne in 1884.

They had three daughters and when Mary signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Forth St, Dunedin.

Mary died on 19 May 1899 and George died in 1915, they are buried together in the Northern Cemetery.
