Marion Jane Hamilton Reid was born in 1869 in New Zealand – the daughter of James Hamilton Reid, a sawmiller and timber merchant, and Sarah MacFarlane. (See 99 Sarah Reid)
Marion married David Henry Foreman, a seaman, on 4 March 1889 at her parent’s home in Brook St, Dunedin.
They had no children and when Marion signed the suffrage petition they were living in Union St, Dunedin.
David died in 1918, he is buried in the Port Chalmers Cemetery.
Marion then married Arthur Edward Reeves, a widower and poultry grit manufacturer, in 1920.
Arthur died in 1939, he is buried with his first wife and family in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
Marion re-married in 1942 to Robert Herd, a carter.
Marion died on 31 July 1950 and Robert died in 1968, they are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
