Biographical information provided by Stefanie Lash, Archives New Zealand, for the He Tohu exhibition:

Minnie Gould Lloyd’s first name was Zilphar, but she hardly ever used it – not even on her headstone. She was born in Kensington, London, in 1869 and came to New Zealand with her parents and baby brother as a four-year-old. They settled in Christchurch, and Minnie did well at school. At the age of 22 she married James Harrow, a gasfitter, and they had four children. Minnie lived to the age of 96.
