Barbara Graham Callander was born in New Zealand in 1871 – the daughter of Alexander Callendar, a farmer, and Barbara Graham Law. (See 162 Mrs A Callander)
When Barbara signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family at Scroggs Hill overlooking the Taieri Plain.
She married William Stephen Baker, a ships fireman, in 1916 – they had no children.
William died in 1923, he is buried in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
Barbara died on 12 December 1942, she is buried with her parents in the East Taieri Cemetery.
