Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Grace Adelaide Croker Browne was born in 1870 in New Zealand – the daughter of George Francis Collins Browne, a forwarding agent, and Mary Anne Sutcliffe.

Grace’s early years were spent in Waitahuna before the family moved to Dunedin in the mid 1870s.

Grace did not marry and she died on 8 September 1948. She is buried in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
