Anastasia Ducey was born about 1835 – she married Patrick Bourne, a shoemaker, in 1869 in New Zealand.

They had six children, one who died in infancy, and when Anastasia signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Main South Rd, Hillside, South Dunedin.

Patrick died in 1911 and Anastasia died at her home on 23 September 1916, they are buried with their son in the Southern Cemetery.
