Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley
Bridget Agnes Mullin was born about 1862 in Ireland – the daughter of Arthur Mullin and Ann.
She emigrated to Otago with her family in 1884 on the Bombay and they settled in Dunedin.
Bridget married Robert Watt Brown, a farmer, on 29 January 1889 at the St Joseph’s Cathedral in Dunedin.
They had three children and when Bridget signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Macandrew Road, South Dunedin.
Robert died in 1911 and Bridget died at their home 'Heatherlea' on 12 May 1938 – they are buried together in the Southern Cemetery.
