Jane Murray Renwick was born about 1863 in Victoria, Australia, the daughter of George Renwick, a fellmonger, and Jane Murray.
She came to Otago with her family as an infant in 1863 on the Omeo, and they settled in Green Island near Dunedin.
Jane married William George Christie on October 5th 1887. They had one daughter.
When Jane signed the suffrage petition they were living in Fernhill St, Dunedin.
William died in 1940, and Jane died on May 25th 1945. They are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
